Age Requirement — 18+

TradeYard is an 18+ platform. We verify age at registration and deny access to anyone under 18. The Personals section contains adult-oriented content and is accessible to paying members only. If we become aware that a user under 18 has created an account, that account will be immediately terminated and associated data deleted.

Information We Collect

When you create a TradeYard account, we collect: your name, email address, date of birth, city, state, and ZIP code. We also collect the content of your trade posts, private messages, and any reports you submit. We log page views and platform events to understand usage.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the TradeYard platform
• To verify your age and eligibility (18+ required)
• To display your location to other users (city and state only)
• To process your membership payment ($5.00 one-time)
• To moderate content and enforce community safety
• To send transactional emails (welcome, receipts, digest)
• For compliance with legal obligations, including NCMEC reporting where required by law

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your city and state are visible to other TradeYard members. Your email, date of birth, and exact address are never shared with other users. We may share data with law enforcement if legally required or in response to CSAM/illegal content reports.

Content Moderation

All uploaded images are automatically screened for prohibited content using AI. Posts and messages are filtered for illegal or harmful material. Violations are logged and may result in account termination and mandatory law enforcement referral.

Data Security

Your password is securely hashed using industry-standard cryptography. Payment processing is handled by Stripe — we do not store your card details. Sessions use secure, httpOnly cookies.

Data Retention

Your account data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion by contacting support. Content violation records are retained for legal compliance purposes even after account deletion.
