Terms of Service

1. Platform Overview

TradeYard is a social platform that connects users for the purpose of bartering goods, services, and labor within their local communities. By using TradeYard, you agree to these Terms of Service in full.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account or use TradeYard. Minors are strictly prohibited from the platform. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that the date of birth you provided is accurate.

3. Membership

TradeYard requires a one-time payment of $5.00 for membership to access the platform. This is a single payment, not a subscription. Payment is processed securely through Stripe.

4. Prohibited Items & Activities

The following items and activities are strictly prohibited on TradeYard:

• Drugs, controlled substances, and drug paraphernalia
• Weapons, firearms, ammunition, and explosives
• Stolen or illegally obtained goods
• Alcohol and tobacco products
• Prescription medications
• Explicit, sexual, or adult content and services
• Counterfeit goods, fake identification, or forgeries
• Any item or service that is illegal under local, state, or federal law
• Human trafficking or exploitation of any kind

Posts containing prohibited items will be automatically blocked or flagged for review. Repeat violations will result in account suspension.

5. User Conduct

By using TradeYard, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information in your profile and posts
• Treat other users with respect
• Not engage in harassment, threats, or intimidation
• Not post misleading or deceptive trade offers
• Not use the platform for any illegal activity
• Report prohibited items and suspicious behavior

7. Account Suspension

TradeYard reserves the right to suspend or terminate any user account that violates these Terms of Service, without prior notice or refund. Grounds for suspension include but are not limited to: posting prohibited items, abusive behavior, fraudulent activity, or any illegal conduct.

8. Content Moderation

TradeYard employs automated content filtering and community reporting to maintain platform safety. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms at our sole discretion.

9. Changes to Terms

TradeYard may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Personals Section

The Personals section of TradeYard is NOT a dating or sexual service. It exists solely as a community board for users to post personal listings such as missed connections and activity partner requests. Any misuse — including but not limited to posting sexual content, prostitution, or any illegal activity — will result in immediate account termination and will be reported to the appropriate authorities.

All users who access or post in the Personals section do so entirely at their own risk. TradeYard assumes no responsibility or legal liability for any injuries, damages, financial losses, or other harm arising from your use of this section or any other part of TradeYard.

All content in the Personals section is restricted to active paid members of TradeYard and must not be shared, copied, or redistributed outside the platform in any form. Violation of this restriction may result in immediate account termination.

Posts in the Personals section are subject to a non-refundable per-post fee (the current amount is displayed within the Personals section for active members). Once payment is processed, this fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

All users are expected to behave respectfully and keep content clean. TradeYard reserves the right to remove any post or terminate any account, at any time, without notice, for violations of these terms or for any reason at TradeYard's sole discretion.

12. Cardholder Responsibility & Household Accounts

At signup, you provide two distinct names:

• Screen Name — Your publicly visible alias on TradeYard. It appears on posts, profiles, messages, and trade activity. It must be different from your legal name.
• Legal (Cardholder) Name — Your full legal name as it appears on your card. This is stored privately and never shown publicly.

Household members may share the same payment card on file. The primary cardholder (the person whose name is on the card) is the sole account owner and is solely responsible for all account activity, including any household members. TradeYard does not assume responsibility for any loss, damages, injury, harm, or death resulting from use of the platform, transactions between members, or any other cause related to the account.

Screen name changes are limited to one time only. Once changed, the screen name is permanently locked. Contact support for assistance.
